#144 - Mastery Over
Your Life

Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge, skill or wisdom in a particular subject or activity.

Contemplate for a moment if you will, what it would be like to have mastery over your life?

How would it FEEL to be able to perform all of the physical activities of your choice and within your realistic capabilities, achieve a high state of mental wellbeing, whilst being equipped with emotional intelligence, and to have arrived at a point where you have attained a level of mastery over your life?

Of course, life is a humongous subject, so to master every aspect of it is probably too steep a gradient to tackle immediately!

But we can cherry pick what is important to us and in some semblance of achievable sequence.

Where to begin and in which area?

Physically

Mentally

Emotionally

Spiritually

A good place to start our path to mastery, would be with our physical body.

To understand its functions, deeply respect and honour it.

To nurture the cells and atoms with prana, with life-force energy, Chi, whatever label we want to call it.

To look after it with regular excercise, feed it well, nourish it, clean it and practice good hygiene.

Then we can become the master over our body working in cooperation and collaboration with it, instead of being disrespectful, addicted or compulsive in any way.

Your mental body comes next.

Dealing with your thoughts, watching them as they arise, stay a while and then disappear.

Determine the quality of those thoughts and choose the good ones!

Understand that your thoughts are shaping your current reality.

Shifting those negativite, limiting beliefs, or destructive thoughts into more positive, uplifting ones.

You can change your thoughts in an instant, you can have mastery over them and don't have to be dictated to by your mind.

Of course, your mind is not your mind, as we all share the collective mind of the human family.

To master your mind you will need to be aware of the quality of you thoughts that are arising in any moment.

The next area of mastery, is over your emotions.

What are you expressing, which are the predominant levels of emotions from the very highest of joy and love, to the lowest, fear, despair, powerlessness and everything in between?

To master these emotions, needs emotional intelligence, dealing with your own emotions and the emotions of others.

It is okay to experience the lower level emotions as they arise, but unacceptable to project them onto others.

They are your emotions, take ownership for them, look for the root cause and consciously choose to express the higher levels.

Finally, we address our spiritual body, to discern and dissect that which we believe is genuinely spiritual, from the pseudo spiritual.

Much of the New Age movement is in a spiritual dilemma at present.

Some of it is not really leading us to who we truly are at the core, so we need to sort through what is authentic spirituality and what is not?

Perhaps this is what we are being called to do?

Uncovering who you are at the deepest core then living and fully embodying that.

Those are the four levels of mastery that you can embark upon and have some modicum of mastery over, instead of being the effect.

One step at a time, you are now causing your life to happen, creating your own reality, which reflects your highest possibilities.

Go on, I dare you!
